Play Everyday in May

Welcome to Play Everyday in May! Fellow blogger, Mary of NotBefore7 and I are excited to hop on Facebook Live and share some of our favorite games this month!

Summer is coming. If you’re like us, you want a change of pace in the summer. But you also know that completely open-ended unstructured free time from dawn to dusk can lead to more problems than it solves.

Games are a great way to gather everyone together for some fun and (sneaky) thinking and learning, even if you’re taking a break over the summer!

Make Sure You’re Ready!

The first thing you’ll want to do is to make sure you’re following NotBefore7 and Homeschooling without Training Wheels on Facebook. You can find the schedule below and we’ll be linking to the videos as each is complete. But if you want to catch them live, be sure to turn on notifications!

While You Wait

Want to get started now exploring game suggestions you can use in your homeschool? Here are some places to begin …

The Plan

Each day, Monday through Saturday, one of use will hop on our own Facebook Page to share a bit about a game our family loves. We’ve divided May into four weeks, each with a different theme!

We’ve made a rough plan about days and games, but time of day is dependent on scheduling factors, because: homeschooling! (Schedule subject to change without notice, but we’ll try to give you a heads up if possible!)

Note: Right now, each game is linked to Amazon so you can get a peek at it, but as the videos go live, I’ll add links to the Facebook Live!

Week 1: Word Play

Week 2: Math and Logic

Week 3: Science/Social Studies

Week 4(+): Just for Fun!

Thanks for joining us! We look forward to some great gaming conversations!
